So today was my first day of eighth grade; my second year in the junior high. I have some sort of feeling that this post is going to be a long one, so, strap on your seatbelts and get ready to go.
As I walked into the cafeteria this morning, I searched for Katie and when I sat down next to her and gave her a huge bear hug that was way too tight and we both said in unison, "I MISSED YOU!" Then I rambled on about Classic Rock and headbanged to Tenement Funster...
Before first period, I stopped by my locker only to find that someone else's stuff was in it. Then, the seventh grader who lives on the same street as me said that was his locker. So, we had to straighten that out and luckily he was the one to get a new locker because I liked the spot where it was. After putting my stuff away, Heath came up to me and said, "I'm in the corner, and everyone on each side of me is gonna hate me!!" I smiled and laughed. I kinda missed all the funny things that he used to say...
First period was just a mess. Aaron was there for one, which I'm not even going to explain. And, I didn't have a pencil to my surprise, and I just didn't wanna be there. So yeah. Second period was HEALTH! All the teacher did was say the rules and stuff, but I'm in that same classroom for third period study hall, so it was cool to just stay in there. Kaitlyn came in and we talked a lot. I'm glad she decided not to neglect me as a friend this year. Then we moved seats and I talked to Hannah which was pretty cool, but overall study hall was boring. Guess I need to use one of my notebooks for doodling. Fourth period science was very cool. I love my teacher! We played a game in class; You had to say your name and something you liked. When it was my turn I said "I'm Amy, and I love music!!" DUHHH. How could I not say that?!
Moving on to lunch. Katie and I were skipping in the hall arm in arm on the way to the cafeteria, and I tripped! It was the funniest thing ever. So I sat down next to Mckayla, and across from my new friends Abby and Sydney. Mckayla was just gaga over my hair, and I'm not even kidding. I dyed it slightly darker, and she loves my hair dark, so she was just in love with it. I got to know Abby and Sydney, also. Abby came to my school from a private school near here, and Sydney moved here from Florida! I hate to stereotype Sydney, because I wouldn't wanna be stereotyped myself, but she does give off an emo vibe. (There, I just contradicted myself) Oh, and Abby if very, very outgoing. I love being their friend. Before we all went to recess, I had to tell them about it and Abby was like, "You have RECESS here?!?!" Hahahaha. It was so funny. So we sat down in the bleachers and I asked Mckayla frantically, "Wanna play the music game??" and she squealed, "YES!!!!!" So I named all the queen songs like mad and Abby and Sydney thought it was hilarious! On the way back to my locker, Heath sees me in the hallway and I could tell by the way he was looking at me that he wanted to say something. So he comes up to me and says, "Always remember..." And I'm like, "Remember what??" And he goes, " I don't know." And shrugs it off. I hit him on the shoulder and continue to my locker. Algebra and History were basically just rules, so I wont write about that. On the way out of history theres a shorter route to get the reading room, but I decided not to take it so I'd have a chance at seeing Anthony in the hallway by his locker. Weirdly enough, it was really close to my old one. He passed me by without even seeing me, and I did a double take after that and went, "What the crap?!" 'Cause we were like THIS close and he still didn't see me. Funny, funny... So that was today. A good day. Yay for being at the junior high again! :D
